Abstract: The carbon nanotube has been referred as a symbolic nano-structured material. We have studied the structural and the electronic properties of the tubes in the bundle form theoretically. The properties of the nanotubes have been often described simply by the size of the tube, especially, in the bundle form. Our results of the first-principles calculations have shown that the character of each tube is essential.
